Canadian Solar lists the TOPHiKu6 CS6.1-72TD with N-type TOPCon cells in a 144-cell layout, a power range of 595 to 620 watts, and module efficiency of 22.0 to 23.0 percent.

On warranty, Canadian Solar lists a 12 year enhanced product warranty and a 30 year linear power performance warranty, with first year degradation no more than 1 percent and no more than 0.4 percent per year thereafter.

Trina lists the Vertex S+ with N-type i-TOPCon monocrystalline cells in a 144-cell dual glass design, a power range of 425 to 450 watts, and maximum efficiency of 22.5 percent.

On warranty, Trina lists a 25 year product workmanship warranty and a 30 year power warranty, with 1 percent first year degradation and 0.4 percent annual degradation from year 2 to 30.

Where they differ on paper

On format, Canadian Solar lists a large 595 to 620 watt module while Trina lists a compact 425 to 450 watt dual glass panel. The wattage gap reflects panel size, not efficiency alone.

On efficiency the two land close, with Canadian Solar at up to 23.0 percent and Trina at up to 22.5 percent. The warranty structures differ: Trina lists a 25 year product term against Canadian Solar's 12 year product term, while both list a 30 year power warranty.
